The Council of the Incorporated Town of Jesup, Iowa, met in
special session in the Council Rooms at 12:30 P. M.,
April 22, 1952, by call of the Mayor.
Present was Fred .Burrell, Mayor.
Councilmen present were: Milroy Brown, Norbert Bahl,
Francis Gerdes, Harold Hopkins
and Ronald Rogers,
Absent: None/
C. E. Stewart, the Tom Clerk, being absent, it was moved
by Bahl, seconded by Rogers, that Councilman Brown act as
temporary clerk. carried.
Councilman Rogers introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption. Councilman Bahl seconded the motion
to adopt.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Harold J. Hopkins and Alice Hopkins are the legal
owners of the West Ten Feet of Lots One, Two, Three, Four, and Five,
Black Seventeen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup, Iowa; the West
Ten Feet of Lots One, Two, Three, Four, and Five, Block Eighteen,
C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup, Iowa; Lots Six, Seven, Eight,
Nine, and Ten, Block Seventeen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup,
Iowa,; Lots Six, Seven, El ht, Nine, and Ten, Block Eighteen,
C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup, Iowa, and that vacated_:portion
of Church Street which lies North of Lot Six and North of the West
Ten Feet pf Lot Five, Block Seventeen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition to
Jesup, Iowa` and South of Lot Ten and South of the West Ten Feet
of Lot One, Block Eighteen, C. O. Marsh's Addition tp Jesup, Iowa,
and wheras said legal owners have by written instrument dated
April - ? , 1.952, vacated said above described property udder••
the provisions of Section 409.19, Code of Iowa, 1950.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Incorporated Town of
Jesup, Iowa, that said Council does consent to the vacation of that
portion pf the plat of C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup,Iowa
described as: The West Ten Feet of Lots One, Two, Three, Four,
and wive, Block Seventeen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup, Iowa;
the West Ten Feet of Lots One, Two, Three, Four, and Five, Block
Eighteen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition. to Jesup, Iowa; Lots Sic, Seven,
Eight, Nine,and Ten, Block Seventeen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition to
Jesup, Iowa; Lots Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, and Ten, Block Eighteen,
C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup, Iowa, and that vacated portion of
Church Street which lies North_pf'Lot Six and North of the West Ten
Feet of Lot Five, Block Seventeen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup,
Iowa and South of Lot Ten and South of the West Ten Feet of Lot One,
Block Eighteen, C. 0. Marsh's Addition to Jesup, Iowa.
